I've just started taking a peek at the Brave Writer site and can easily see why many of you love it. Such ideas in abudance - it truly gets the juices flowing.
I'm wondering if there is a math or science equivalent to the Brave Writer site?? It occurred to me that as mothers (females), stressing the verbal aspect of learning is not only easier to many of us, but also more interesting and/or exciting. But what if for some of our kids, particularly and in large part the boys find numbers and science more stimulating? If such a thing exists please post the links.
If one does not exist, perhaps one of you moms who find math and/or science easy should start one! It won't be me...I'm very typically oriented more toward things verbal. Writing isn't intuitive for me (housecleaning is though ) so I'm grateful for Julie's site. And neither is anything involving numbers or experiments.

Living math is the one! I love that list.
Here's a link: Living Math
I would say it is the Brave Writer of Mathematics.
I love the way the list offers a holistic picture of how math skills ought to develop and fit into a lifestyle. Good stuff.
And thanks for your compliments about Brave Writer. It's a thrill to discover that what has worked for us, works for others too.

Julie,
Thank you! I'm starting to feel well rounded this year. Someone also sent this site.
My 4dd practically exploded with excitement when I started writing down names and labels on her pictures yesterday. It was so cute. Thanks for all the ideas!

Julie as in Julie Bogart? If yes, you are too modest!
