It sounds like an interesting way to do math. Check out the tutorials. The sutras talk kind of throws me off, but the mental math is interesting.

I haven't heard of this before - the link was interesting. I do agree that the 'sutras' talk made me feel uncomfortable!

I have heard of it but don't know much about it. It's supposed to be an excellent way to perform fast math operation.

I can easily follow their explanations, but it would take much longer to learn how and when to apply the rules (for this poor brain!).

Have you seen Speed Mathematics Using the Vedic System? Julie on the livingmath loop recommended it.
