Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hi: Yesterday I asked Erin (5) to narrate The Hat by Jan Brett. We used the Jan Brett website to send a postcard to DH at work via email with the narration. They both got a big kick out of it. Here is her narration.....

Dear Daddy:
Mommy just read me a story, called The Hat. I liked it. I
thought it was funny. It was about a Hedgehog named Hedgie who got a red and white sock stuck on his head. He
thought it was a hat. He liked it. But his friends in the
barnyard got him upset by laughing at him. He thought the
hat would keep him warm and he told his friends that he
liked having a hat. They wanted one too so they all went to the clothesline and took all the clothes that were left off and stuck the clothes on their heads. They looked very funny. It was a good story with pretty pictures. Will you read it to me again? Love, Erin

Thanks for sharing a clever way of doing narration. What a nice surprise for your husband too.

Peace,

Mare

We are just starting to narrate so I was looking for some ideas. This is just the sweetest thing, Mary Ellen! By the way, I spent way too much time on your blog yesterday!

Your little ones are darling!
