I have been given a few bits of Latin curricula and am trying to figure out how to use them. I have two Prima Latina student books (& CD) and one Latina Christiana I student book (& CD). Next year I will have a 4th and 6th grader and neither have had any Latin. I have read on the Memoria Press site that Prima is recommended for 2nd-4th grade... but I'm wondering if I could simplify my life and start both of my kids with Prima?? But since we haven't done Latin before, I don't know how this will effect my older student long-term. Will he be "behind" in the long run with Latin if he does Prima in 6th grade with his 4th grade sister? Or would it be simpler than I think to have one child doing Prima and the other doing Latina Christiana? Does it really make any difference, anyway? Thanks in advance!

4th and 6th grade: Perfect ages to start with Visual Latin. It's very user-friendly, especially if you keep a notebook with all the printout assignments done for referencing.

We had started Prima Latina the year prior but didn't notice very much overlap so it wasn't like they were lost or whatnot.

I think Visual Latin is to Latin what Teaching Textbooks is to Math... VERY mom friendly... although I like to sit in on the lessons sometimes too... Dwayne, the teacher, is very funny!
