I recently signed up for the daily writing tip from Julia at Bravewriter.

I am really enjoying these. They are covering a broad spectrum and are giving me much food for thought. I like that they are short; they don't overwhelm me

. I find myself mulling each one over as I go through my day.

Anyone else receiving these? Have you tried any?

I really like the idea of word play- having kids look for interesting words (font, size, sound, etc) in magazines and catalogs and cut them out. They could make a story with them or just glue them on a piece of paper. Or just discuss them. Fun and painless way to LA

I signed up for these too. I haven't read too much into them since we are on break. But, it did make me get my Writer Jungle book out to reread a few parts. Planning on putting more writing into our school day.

I have been getting them and enjoying them very much. Julie is always such an enthusiastic and encouraging advocate of writing and I really like her style. Even though we are currently on break, reading these daily tips has gotten me thinking about re-invigorating our writing (which has sadly gotten a bit stale lately)as soon as we start back up again in a couple weeks.

Did anyone see her writing tip from a couple of months ago that said to use gender neutral terms in writing . . . . . including when talking about God?
