Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

How did you folks use this? We have picked it up, again, and always find it is so much talking and these little exercises. How did you work through this book?

Oh, and it is just the second part I am needing help on- the first we did with a class with ds so I am good on that one!

I just assigned reading and narrations, and then if there was a module that called for writing, dd would do that writing using current history reading as the subject matter. We had some good essays come from that class.

It IS hard to schedule that particular tool, Kristie, because the writing invitations and other assignments aren't obvious, they are within the conversational text of the book. That's why narrations were integral for us. I could keep up with what was covered and what was asked through my dd's narrations. We used it a couple of years ago, so it's a little hard to remember off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure I just scheduled a period of time (2-3 weeks) per module, anticipating that we would do some writing based on the reading. I just had to be somewhat flexible, which I know isn't easy on the planning. But my daughter really enjoyed the book, if that helps. She still pulls it off the shelf every now and then!

Did she do all of the smaller writing prompts? For example: the movie reviews, journalling arguements etc.

No.    Unless she really wanted to do the little writing prompts within a module, we just stuck with written narrations as her regular writing, and spent time on some of the larger writing projects.
