Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Can anyone who has seen/used both tell me their impressions and/or compare the two? I have used Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons before with mixed success depending on the child I was using it with. I have only seen the online samples of Marie Rippel's new All About Reading Pre/K program, but currently use All About Spelling with two of my older kids and have found it to be successful (although sometimes not easy to implement time wise for us).

Thanks in advance!

Tea, did you ever get your questions answered?

I have used 100 Easy Lessons for all of my children. I like it fine. I think I did every little lesson with my first and gradually dropped things with each additional child. For example, I don't have the children do the writing or the rhyming anymore. I think now I just go through the sounds and get them reading short words and have them get to the Bob Books as soon as possible. This partnered with a phonics program (for us, the MCP Plaid series), has worked very well. Both very easy to implement.

Hope that helps a little.

Erica,

Thanks so much for posting! I think I will go with 100 Easy Lessons, if no other reason, because I can break the lessons up into more "bite-sized" pieces, so to speak

I have pre-viewed the All About Reading program, and while it looks good, the lessons seem kind of long, at least for this particular dc!
