What age level?

Is this for writing papers that you need the proper format and how to write?

Or is this learning how to outline existing paragraphs, identifying key thoughts and breaking down in outline form?

Jennifer, it's for middle school, mainly for writing papers. However, one should first learn how to outline a paragraph or a short essay. I went over the basic outline explanation but my ds still has trouble. I thought that perhaps a book or a workbook might help.
