Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My dd,2nd grade, is currently using Primary Language Lessons 3 days a week. I am beginning to wonder if I need to supplement this program or change to something else. We have not touched on the parts of speech and the only sentence structure lesson has been capital letters and punctuation at the end of a sentence. While she is only 6 she is an excellent reader and understands what she reads(her favorite reads right now for independnet reading are The Time Warp Trio,The Magic Treehouse and Pony Pals). I want her to be challenged, which she is not with PLL, but I do not want to push her if it is not necessary.
Any opinions would be great,

My advice would be to drop it all together.

She doesn't need to cover parts of speech at age 6. You can save these until she's nine or ten. In the meantime, enjoy reading and copywork and narration. She wil lay a good foundation for the grammar study you do when she's more ready for it.
