Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I need some ideas for finishing off the year- the kids are getting a little tired of narrations and the like....

How old are you kids? My (then) 13 yo son had a field day with Karen Andreola's Story Starters last year, if you're looking for some creative writing.

Here are some creative narration alternatives/ideas if that's what you're looking for.

My daughter finished her language arts workbook for the year a couple weeks ago. Since then I decided to get her a blank notebook. Every day she writes a portion of a story she is making up....just a bit, maybe 2 pages. She leaves it on the sideboard for me to look at later. I correct some spelling and leave glowing, encouraging comments throughout. Then I place it back on her shelf and she gets it the next day to read the comments and write again. It's a neat way to communicate privately with one child as well as encourage some writing toward the end of the year.
