Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I know this is such a basic question, but I am worried I am going to confuse my son's learning to write his letters. My husband wants to have our children learn to write in the Italic handwriting of Getty-Dubay. Neither of us write in this script or manuscript. Has anyone else taught their children to write cursive or manuscript in a different method than what you regularly use? Did this confuse them or how did you help them keep it straight?

Thanks for helping a nervous new teacher!

You'll probably have to learn it somewhat for teaching it. Probably not that hard as long as you think about it when you're writing. But kids in public schools learn to write seperate from how their family at home writes so it's surely doable even if you only use it when doing school.

Thank you for that reminder. It is the details that always get me worried.

God bless,
