Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Just wanted to recommend a reading fluency program which I'm using with my 10-year-old ds who really struggles with fluency. It's called Great Leaps and it's used by some of the schools in NY. It was an expense but it's been truly worth it. We spend 3 minutes/day taking the 1-minute timed tests. Our ds loves it & is making progress!

Wow - it's been almost 2 years since I posted this recommendation. I'm back to say if I could only keep 1 homeschooling item, this would be it. I just used it with my 6 yo dd to help her learn to read. She's a good sight reader but doesn't like to sound things out. The drills were perfect for her & forced her not to cheat. After just a few months, her reading is excellent.
