Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I've been reading my littles "Peter Pan" by JMBarrie. They love it. But I got the version that Michael Hague illustrated and I don't know -- I just don't like his illustrations. His kids all look so mean and ugly and the overall pictures are almost grotesque. I have used others of his -- his The Book of Dragons and the Fairy Tales of Oscar Wilde and never had a problem. Actually I liked his drawings. But this one -- Peter Pan illustrated by Hague kind of gives me the willies .

Anyone else have this problem with Hague?

I have to agree with you, Mary. We have Bill Bennett's Children's Book of Virtues, Children's Book of Heroes, and Children's Book of America. And I don't care for many of Hague's illustrations in those books.
