I was in a hurry, so I let my ds5 check this out from the library yesterday, and hadn't really looked it over. The cover has a picture of a monkey with a typewriter, and frankly I wasn't impressed.

Boy, was I wrong!

Monkey Busines by Wallace Edwards is all about idioms, and is geared towards younger children. The illustrations are really very clever, and my kids had several "AHA" moments as we slowly went through each phrase.

Each page is an 8"x7" full color illustration, with the phrase printed underneath in large letters (so nice for those of us whose glasses aren't working!) Sample idioms used are: on the ball, show your true colors, and our favorite - a real sweet tooth.

Just goes to show you, don't judge a book by its cover!
