Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We are new to narration, but I wanted to share these from my twin dd's. We are working on their First Holy Communion notebooks. Please feel free to comment--I am open to any suggestions!

How to Go To Confession

You cannot just go to confession. You have to get ready. These are things that you are going to do. You have to pray to God about the sins that you did. Then you can go.

At the church, sometimes the priest can read you something from the bible. Then you tell him the last time when you went to confession. Then you can tell him your sins. When you tell your sins, he will say “I absolve your sins in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” Then he will give you some prayers to say. On the way there or when you are there, you can say an act of contrition. Sometimes instead of prayers, he will give you something to do for your penance.

When you sin the grace will go away. But when you are sorry for your sins, really sorry, and the priest forgives you, the grace will come back.

Confession

You can’t just go tot confession, you have to get ready. First you have to pray to Jesus to remember your sins and how many times you sinned. Then when it’s time, you go to church and do your confession and tell the priest your sins.

You just go to the priest and tell him your sins. To know he forgives you, he will say “I absolve you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” Then Jesus forgives you from your sins. Then he’ll tell you to say some prayers and that is your penance.

Through confession God gives you grace again.

Liz
How precious
Looks like they have no problem narrating. I really like Amy's 'God gives you grace again'

Great job, Liz, for girls' First Communion notebooks! They clearly recognize that they must "get ready" and the importance of that.

We begin our notebook this school year!!

Blessings,
Ginny
