Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Here is a current events science study for this week. Comet McNaught, a comet that is turning out to be quite bright, is now visible in the early evening and morning sky. Sounds like it may be spectacular in the southern hemisphere. I am so sad that it has turned cloudy here today and will be for the next few days. It is unlikely we will be able to see it at it's brightest over the next two days. Hopefully though many of you will be able to view it.

What Star is This? - this viewing is still so close to Epiphany. What a great tie-in. Tells the story as if the star of Bethlehem were a comet (which it could have been).

Mary, you posted this in perfect time! Marianna and I rushed up on deck to look for it, only to find clouds on the horizon.

We consoled ourselves with your fabulous links - wow!

Thank you!

Nothing. Clouds on horizon even in Key West this weekend. No Green Flash and no cool comet!
