Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm contemplating an ant farm purchase (but there are so many different varieties now ~ which should I choose?) for my kids, but I wonder whether the entertainment/educational value is worth the price.

Any opinions are appreciated.

My ant farm was five dollars. Worth every penny.

I think so! We really enjoyed our ant farm for many months. The kids learned alot about working together.

Online, mini ant farms are $10.00, larger ones are more than $25.00. There are several varieties including antquariums and ant villages. Guess I have to go find an ant farm locally, eh? I read that by putting ants in this unnatural environment without a queen you can't really see them working as they naturally would. I read that they often die within a week. So the ants have to be locally found as well, it sounds like, to kee them alive and have a queen. So how did you manage to capture a queen, Elizabeth?
