I have wanted to begin a Carnival of Nature Study for some time, and I've finally made the plunge! Well sort of.  I have not gone through the Blog Carnival site ... yet. But I may move a future Field Day there if there is enough interest in this!
As I said, see my blog for all the specifics. You can email me or send me a PM if you'd like. If you have any questions, post them here or at my blog!
I hope you'll consider joining us for the first edition of Field Day! And please feel free to pass the word.

Oh I really hope so!!! Since I am not doing it through blogcarnival (at this point) I will be relying on my 4Real friends! I don't get a ton of traffic at my site, so any "PR" would be helpful. (Thanks Lissa!  )

Last call, everyone! The deadline for Field Day submissions is technically today, but if you need a bit more time, the end of tomorrow should be ok.

As best I can tell, of the 15 entries I've received so far, there are 3 that came from outside the board. You, Lissa, Helen, Cay and a few others plugged my carnival at your blogs (thanks again!) and that brought in a lot of traffic my site doesn't usually see. Also, Alice R. (whose new blog The Lord's Garden is lovely by the way!) posted Field Day on the FIAR boards and I couldn't get over the traffic!  It's been a little heady for me!
I feel like such a little fish in this HUGE ocean of blogging but I am very happy with the response. It has been fun!

AAAGGHH!!!
Was this today already!?!?!!  I missed it.
I've been "off the vine" and honestly thought I had another week to get my photos downloaded.
I'm so distaught. Where does the time go???
Oh, well, I've got a few minutes while supper bubbles on the stove. I'm off to catch everyone else's field trip.

We've really been "naturing it" this past week inbetween outtings and activities with the cousins who are in from Texas. I've got some great photo shots. But please don't hold the ball on my account. I am so sorry to miss it.
I was really hoping dh would get those photos onto the computer but he comes home very tired in the evening, showers and goes to bed. And i still haven't educated myself on how to download the pics.

Well, Field Day is up, everyone!
Thank you all for the support and encouragement!  This was so much fun to do! I didn't take the usual carnival route, so I appreciate everyone's help with generating buzz! I got a great response and hope we can do this again!

Hello again!
I just put up a post about the next Field Day (The Late Summer Edition) and thought I would mention it here too!
Same as last time, if you'd like to participate (blogger or not) please let me know. I've picked Monday August 21st, so there's plenty of time to send me your posts or pictures! Also that gives us space between Meredith's Simple Elegance Tour which is on the 14th.
(I personally need to get back to my nature blogging so this is a good push for me! It's just been so hot -  - 100 today!)

Well, this certainly is the week for carnivals!! I just wanted to bump my thread here for Field Day: The Late Summer Edition! I've only had a few entries, so I would *love* to have you join up!
Any posts about nature, summer, being outside - maybe your goals for the new year, or how you are enjoying the last few weeks of summer - or even some summer vacation pictures and thoughts ... anything goes!
I'd like the entries by this Friday the 18th, but really as long as I have them by Sunday evening that's fine. (Field Day will go up on Monday the 21st.)
If you have any questions please let me know! Post here, PM me or send me an email (my address is in the post)
