There is an experiment where an egg is soaked in vinegar and it becomes rubbery. Does anyone know what I am talking about? If so, can you direct me to, or explain the directions? My son is just dying to do some sort of egg experiment (why?!) and I thought that might be a good one.

It is easy and it works.

Get a jar and put the egg and vinegar in it - cover the egg as best you can. Set it aside for a few days. It's fun!

We had fun with this with a wishbone. Same results with rubbery bone, but not as fun as with an egg. But I'm gunshy because of our egg allergies. Hoping one day...

Put the naked egg into distilled water or a 50/50 corn syrup/water solution and watch what happens to it (good demonstration of osmosis...)
