Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My dd has been obsessed with animals since, well, birth.

This year we've done marine biology, the branch of zoology that appeals to her the most. We'd talked about doing physical science next year, but Yours Truly mentioned zoology...and, well...

The problem is, of course, what materials to use. I will not have time to create a course from scratch. We used Apologia marine biology this year (and loved it!), but I don't know whether we should use something else, given she'll be in 8th grade.

Alternatively, we could use both the other Apologia zoology texts in the same year and cover the material more quickly - I am guessing that will make it more challenging.

Once high school starts, I know we'll have to concentrate on college-prep courses (biology, of course, but also chemistry, etc.), so I'm inclined to indulge her in this wish to study her feathered and furry friends. I just need a program of some kind for her to follow.
