Anyone use the Explorer Life Science? Do you need the teacher's text? I am planning on moving to this next year but wonder if I must have the teacher's text to use the student text. It looks like I would miss out on the assessments but is that really all?

Any other feedback on more traditional science programs? I am looking for one that meets state standards.

Update: They do sell the teacher's text but you have to call them directly. Lisa
