Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Sometime fairly recently someone (Jen, I think?) recommended a science book that laid out nature lessons (maybe?) for young children.

All I can remember for sure is that the cover might have been green

Oh, and someone mentioned that they wished the author's next book was ready, but it wasn't.

Lindsay,

I beleive that you are looking for, Building Foundations of Scientific Understanding by Bernard Nebel.

Also, if anyone is interested, he has a yahoo group called K5Science that is pretty active. When I was starting out with this book I posted a few questions and Bernie answered each question quickly and personally. Can't beat that for customer service/support!

Hope that helps,
Betsy
