Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

I'm looking for a Science Text that we can use in our studies. I try to have our science go along with our history but I need some kind of resource. Just something to give us some details on different areas of science.

I was looking at Concepts and Challenges in Science from MODG. It looks like it gives kind of an overview on the different areas of science. What do you think?

Thanks!

Hi Lisa,

I'm not a science expert by any means, but we are using Concepts & Challenges I this year with our oldest who is in 6th grade. He actually likes it alot & is learning quite a bit. Unfortunately, it is OOP so the copies are in black & white & are not of the best quality. That is a major drawback that I'm trying to overlook since it's working so well for us. The subjects are laid out in a very easy-to-understand & orderly fashion. I think it works well with this age group. I know that MODG recommends it for 3 years but I'm not sure what we'll do. It's been a very nice (albeit no-frills) introduction to science for him.

Brenda,
We purchased our copy of Concepts and Challenges from e-bay. There are hardcover books available with a starting bid of $2.99. Worth looking into .
