Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Our 4H group met today at 1PM to visit various parks and do some bird watching.

I had every intention of being there and getting off to a good start. I wanted to do good.

And I did. I ended up:

*cleaning out the game closet.
*bagged up items to bring to Goodwill.
*finally cleaned those filty kitchen floors.

My excuse? Well, for starters, it rained this morning. Everything was wet.

And sometimes, even with the best of intentions, we have to stop putting things off and running away from them.

I'm enjoying a relaxed afternoon at home instead of skirting through parks in the wet and muck looking for birds.

We'll simply pull out our bird guides and binoculars and just do a minature bird search in our backyard.

It's all good.
