Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Hello,
I love the recc.on Macbeth's page but feel like I need an outline to pull it together. Does anyone have a book that they like to use a spine?

Well, lets see! I love the booklist you have on your page and have printed it off. It's just I sort of wanted a list of main topics (even a table of contents out of a good book) to sort of guide me in the big picture.

Clear as mud eh??

I'm very visual, and feel the same. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE MacBeth's lists, but can't figure out how to pull them together into a curriculum.    One thing I've thought of doing to help, is to print out the REGENTS course list for NY State to see what topics are required for that subject, and try to pull it together that way???

This is the NY State scope and sequence for high school science: NY State High School Scope and Sequence

I'm sure each state has their own scope and sequence for high school courses.

Hope this helps some.

I am sorry I missed this way back in August...I do use the NYS scope and sequence as a guide, when necessary. It's mainly in the back of my head, though, so I don't really think about it. The Barron's Review Books for Earth Science help with practice questions and review topics, if necessary.

Thank you, MacBeth.

Do you just use the book list you came up with, and then write up your own lesson plan/schedule for that science course??? Would you mind sharing a bit of how you develop a course for high school using your list of books, so I can understand how to do that myself? And I'm so worried I won't do it right in order to have a proper high school science course, if that makes sense.

I'm so visual, and NON-science minded, I find this difficult. I do know Sarah can't use a normal textbook, so I have a year to figure all of this out, and how I'm going to approach high school science with her.....my very right brained, CM inspired girl.
