Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Has anyone else seen this book? Any thoughts on it? Advice?

I bought it on a whim of sorts, figuring I could always return it if I didn't like it (I couldn't find it on our county library's database to just check it out).

We've not yet DONE anything in it yet, but it just looks like fun from what I've really read.... It seems to be exactly what it says - exploring science and art concepts in tandem with one another. The chart in front lists everything by age (3-10), which art media are used, sorted by chapters based on the science concepts (water&air, light&sight, etc), amount of adult preparation, etc. The activities are exactly the sort I love (and my son loves) - exploration but with a particular point to it. I am hoping that this will be a fun way to learn some basic concepts to help us with later studies (I'm still working out the science concepts - this is the one area I am just not able to wrap my mind around - how to teach it and actually have the child "get" it - more on this topic when I've finished the elementary Montessori training).

I would love to hear thoughts and opinions on the book. I know some of her other work has been well-loved by others on the forum....

Thank you in advance!

~Jessica
