Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

We'd like a science magazine without made-up pseudo science, written without a political slant in mind. I'd like one for adults. I did find some old copies of American Heritage's Inventions/Technology magazine which was great but they haven't started publishing again.

We did get Nat'l Geo. but quit it due to strong evolutionary content (remember the issue with a chimp on front with the title "World's first little girl"?) and their strong emphasis on animal reproduction as often as they can put it in there (entire articles on it. Enough!).

I've read reviews about Discover magazine that said it's more political and doesn't always tell the truth.

Are there any good magazines like this out there? Also wouldn't mind a technology type of magazine. I've seen the ads in Popular Mechanics and I don't want that in my house.

I hope you can help.

We like Science News. It is not long, comes weekly, and is pretty timely as such. I don't recall anything political about it really. Plus it seems to cover the array of science disciplines. Oh it might seem pricey...but it is weekly, so you are getting literally 52 issues in one year. HTH
