Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

to Land & People magazine (2 issues per year, I think). It's from a group affiliated with Richard Louv, promoting preservation of land for outdoor recreation, especially for children's use. I have not gotten mine yet, and subscribing might put you on a mailing list or two, but it dos look interesting enough to pass on.

Looks interesting - thanks for the heads-up.

I've seen recently that Louv's work has sparked a grassroots push with various states and agencies for what is being called "No Child Left Inside" - I love that title

OK, so maybe THIS will help me be more "nature-y" with my kiddoes, huh? No child left inside, indeed -- I guess I can bring my knitting outside ....

Mary,
I caught my daughter outside (I had said that she must breathe some fresh air) knitting in -25 weather INSIDE her winter coat...
