I have signed my 8yo dd up for a science class (one day a week) for next year in which they will be studying chemistry. If she is enrolled in this class should I not teach any science at home and only do nature or would it be o.k. to do both the class and a program at home? I do not want her to be too overwhelmed with science and I do not want to confuse her but I also do not want to skimp if it is not enough.

Ok, my very humble opinion.Take it or leave it.
She is 8 years old. If she comes home from the co-op hungry for more, give it to her. If she comes home from the co-op and acts like she's had enough, then she has.
