Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Very interesting - you certainly got a large variety.

When I read your header for the thread, I thought, "Oh dear, we've had moths. They are such a pain to get rid of." (Thinking those annoying pantry moths!)

Mary, we've had those before at our old house. VERY annoying!
Well, ds got them all ID'd, with a bit of help from folks here (Thanks!)and he is raring to try it again later in the season to see if he gets anything different. So, I'm sure you will all have a chance to try your hand at moth ID again!LOL!

Theresa, I noticed you and Superboy used different lights on your moth escapades. Which do you think worked better, the shoplight or the blacklight?

Like Alaskan moths, perchance?    That will be too cool!

Good question, Jennifer. He actually did a bit of an experiment to test that out (imagine that! I don't know where he gets this...).
He did the study 2 nights in a row. The first night he used a black light and the second an incandescent shop light. The black light worked MUCH better.
The last time we had done this was 2 years ago and we were in Gainesville, Florida. We only used a shop light then and got tons of moths (and other bugs). But then Florida is just buggier than here. Your mileage may vary!
Alaska is supposed to be extra buggy!

LOL Theresa! Only a homeschooler could be so excited about THAT

I really enjoyed reading (and seeing) your work. The kids are inspired and even I am more excited about bugs than I thought I would ever be!

God love you!
