I've noticed (and sorrowfully have been party to) some hurt feelings among our members here on the 4 Real forums. I think it is so difficult to get tone and human emotions just right here on the forum. Sometimes we post in haste not re-reading what we say or not seeing how it can be misinterpreted or hurtful.
I was wondering (if it would be appropriate) to offer up prayers to us here on the board to heal any hurt and to try and start fresh again.
I'm not good with the words for prayer and maybe those of you who have more experience could find one that we could all find solace.

Julia,
That is a lovely gesture and your words are perfect. It is always good to offer prays for our friendships (real or "4 Real') and especially where hurt or misunderstanding may have entered in. We are after all only human and hurt can happen in relationships.

I will join you Julia! I will pray that God will give me the gift of discernment, as sometimes you can post and not have thought carefully if this could hurt someone in anyway, even if small.....I think I might stick a little prayer on my computer screen corner, a prayer to say before putting my fingers to type and let it be an everyday prayer.
I will also pray for all those who are feeling hurt at present.
A beautiful idea Julia....and Lent is a wonderful time to look at our hearts and others.

I just went browsing for a prayer and found one that is lengthy, for me to pray when first sitting to my computer in the morning.
Actually it is a prayer for life, not everything in the prayer applies but there is something in it that will be pertinent to each new day and I like that - it is well known and it is a prayer from my oldest son's confirmation saint.
Saint Francis's Prayer for Peace.
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
Where there is hatred, let me sow love:
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not
So much seek to be consoled
As to console,
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born
to eternal life.

Annie,
That's perfect. It's a bit long, but maybe it will help me pause for reflection instead of barreling into posting.
Thank you.

When we've discovered a sisterhood this special, it's always good to pray for everyone. I think there are a lot of struggling ladies here, this Lent, and they all need prayer. (I know I am struggling...on many fronts...)
Your prayer idea is beautiful and timely. I think we're all buoyed up in a very important way, just knowing we're in someone's prayers.
I love the Prayer of St. Francis! He's one of my favorite saints. He truly inspires people to seek humility and to imitate Christ.

We love St. Francis' Prayer as well. Thank you for this post and the reminder to pray for all of us here.
