Dear All,
Please keep me in your prayers as I am dealing with the 6th breast infection since Dominic's birth (one every week 
We are going NO where, except to Mass twice. The other Sundays I have been in bed, sick.
I am not sure what to do. I seem to be on every "good" vitamen there is and we nurse every hour or so....maybe too much?

Oh Stephanie! That's just awful. I'm not a doctor, but it sounds like you have one persistent infection, rather than separate infections. Do you have a midwife available that you can consult with? Whenever I get an infection, I go for the ginger and Knudsen "Just Cranberry". Cranberries contain a natural antibiotic and ginger is an anti-inflammatory. I take ginger tea (brewed really strong and sweetened with honey, not sugar), ginger caps and chew on crystalised ginger. OK... I like ginger  !
Even if you wind up with conventional antibiotics, those things will help. Stay in that bed, nurse the baby, drink lots and lots of fluids. Our Lady of La Leche, pray for us!

Praying for you! I had the same thing happen to me. I had chronic mastitis...6 rounds of antibiotics until I figured out a few things. There's some great advice here at Kelly Mom. I took the homeopathic Phytolacca as soon as I would feel any symptoms and it stemmed the tide.
The second thing was that my baby had food allergies, and I probably had the same allergies he had, in milder form. When I removed some of the offending foods, the plugged ducts and mastitis disappeared. Wheat and dairy were our main problems.
