Hi all, if you have a minute, would you say a prayer for my 11yo dear son? He is going to the oral surgeon tomorrow morning at 8:30 to have anywhere from 1-5 teeth pulled.  (He needs 5 in all, but it will depend on how the first one goes if they do more at tomorrow's appt.  )
Back in September he had a *horrible* experience with another doctor, and he is just dreading this. I feel so badly, I wish I could go for him! Please pray for his courage and peace of mind, and that it won't be too terrible.

Dawn, I will get my oldest two, Jack and Grace to pray for your boy, as they have both had a bit of time in the chair and will have great empathy.
We will be praying that it will be the very best outcome for him!
Don't forget St Apollonia - I think she understands the best!

Dawn, I just showed your post to my 12 yo son. He has had similar issues with his teeth.  He'll be praying for your son.

Oh goodness, Dawn! Praying for him here. I'm not a big fan of dentists. I have a terrible phobia. Let us know how it all goes!

Praying, Dawn! Like everyone here.......  .......I have a boy with much personal experience.....though I THINK all of them have had teeth pulled at some time or another

Praying right now for the both of you, dear Dawn.
I had to bring Annie in yesterday and she needs some dental work done too. They will have to give her a mild sedative and this makes me nervous. We go in on March 14th. I am so right there with you in this Lenten suffering.

Thank you so much, everyone!! I cannot tell you how much your prayers have meant - I even showed them to my son before he left. He was overwhelmed that so many people would pray for him. 
As it turns out, today was just a consultation and ds will have four teeth pulled NEXT Thursday. This new doctor seems great (Bill took him, not me) - and listened to the whole harrowing tale from the previous experience. He addressed all ds's concerns (why those particular teeth hurt so much - and why the ones next week will hurt less and how this dr. does things *differently* than that other dr.  ).
Ds will be given a drink to make him sleepy and a bit of laughing gas, AND the dr. will use a thinner needle for the novacaine. Sounds like a plan. 
I will be back next week to let you know how it all goes. But please know how much your prayers and loving concern means to me and my family!  God bless!!
