Please remember Alec and his family in your prayers. He is 5 years old, has cerebral palsy and many other health problems, too numerous to recall. He's spent too much time of his life in the hospital. A few months ago they were told the medical practice can't do anything more, as he is resistant to all forms of antibiotics.

He has double pneumonia and cellulites in the hand and arm and maybe staph in his port line and now the family is told he is dying, his intestines are dying and his kidneys are starting to fail. I believe he is going home to be with his family (he's number 4 child).

This has been a long road for the family. Alec can't talk, and yet has moved mountains through his love and example. He is a saintly child. He has received his First Communion and his love for Jesus in the Eucharist is edifying.

Praying, too. My aunt has CP, so I know a bit about bearing that particular cross. May God bless Alec's family for their faithful witness to the sanctity of all life given by God. I know they will be blessed because they loved Alec so much, enough to share his life experience with others.
