Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Please pray that I can get my life back to normal. On April 15 I was hospitalized for tachycardia secondary to anxiety/fatigue. A week later I went to my primary care dr and he prescribed paxil for me. It was horrible. I had bad panic attacks and anxiety. I quit after 4 days and the symptoms are just as bad. Next he gave me Lexapro (a form of Prozac) and I only took one dose of that because I had a bad reaction to it too. To make a long story short, I'm fighting all kinds of feelings as I go through withdrawals from this medicine and it's really affecting my life. Please pray that I can get through this quickly.
Thanks,
Mary

Oh, Mary!! Big hugs and prayers for you! I've had a similar experience. I know you realize that you aren't ever alone in the spiritual realm, but also if you can get someone to be with you it helps. Sometimes you just need another person grounded in reality while the crazy thoughts cross your mind!

Praying here, too, Mary! I have a dear friend who reacted horribly to some antidepressants ... I know it was awful, as you described, while she was going through it, but she got them out of her system fairly quickly. I'll pray the same for you!

Thank you for all your prayers. Last week was rough but as time passed the symptoms began to get better. My sister had stayed with me all last week and had to leave Thursday to go home to her family so Friday was my first day home without another adult. I made it through that day and my husband was home over the weekend. Today I feel pretty much back to normal. One of the scariest things to me was that I told my doctor about the feelings I was having and he just nodded his head and prescribed another drug. I'm glad I had the sense to listen to my body and quit taking them. Thanks again to all of you for your prayers.

I'm just reading this for the first time now, Mary (sorry, I'm behind in my reading), but I will be praying for you too. What a horrible experience.

Mary,

I'm so sorry to hear this. That was exactly my friend's experience. Even though she described her side effects, and they certainly sounded extreme to me, she was told they fell within the "normal" range of side effects for the drug. She worked with another dr. and finally found a low dose of a different drug that worked for her, but not before going through the same terrible time you experienced.

I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling back to normal.
