Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

My ds Ben (10) has to have a tooth extracted in the next hour. It is badly absessed after a filling fell out the other evening.

We found out yesterday night that he needed to have it removed. Ben is the kind of kid who needs a lot of notice before something major occurs so he is scared about the procedure and the novicaine. (Never had any before) I do not know if he will be cooperative once in the chair.

Could you please pray that it would go well for him and that the baby will be OK while home for 2 hours without mom?

Thanks!

I just saw this and am sorry I missed the opportunity to pray for Ben. But I am so happy that everything went well.

I didn't see this in time to pray before, but now will pray in thanksgiving since it did go well. My oldest son sounds exactly like Ben - needed so much notice for any activity or change. Has really matured through that as a young man.

I just saw this, but...I was at the dentist yesterday afternoon and was having uncomfortable x-rays and impressions made. My first, immediate thought was to offer my discomfort for the intentions on this board! It was such a strong feeling I even told dh about it last night.
I am SO THANKFUL for this board!!!

Blessings ~

He is doing really well. I was rather shocked at how calm he was during the whole thing. Yesterday he told me he would not have the tooth removed, that he could not go through with it unless they put him under. Once he got there, he was really brave and very mature. I was so proud of him because he kept it all together and cooperated. This is the same child who RAN away from his pediatrician two years ago when he found out last minute that he needed to have a throat culture!

There is no swelling and he said (now that the novicaine has worn off) no pain either!
