I am asking you to storm heaven with your prayers. My niece and goddaughter, Samantha, is 10 years old and for the past two years has been afflicted with a severe seizure disorder that is not responsive to medication, and for which she is not a surgical candidate, since the seizure activity takes place in both hemispheres of her brain. A few minutes ago her mother, my sister-in-law, called in tears to say that Sami has started seizing without break, and they were on their way to Children's Hospital of Michigan. She will be intubated and put into a coma in an attempt to stop her seizures. There is a real chance that they won't be able to get Sami out of the coma after a few days. Please pray for a miracle for Samantha, and for the heavenly grace her parents will need to get through this ordeal.

I just heard from my s-i-l, who said that along with the medication keeping Sami unconscious, they are administering large amounts of other anti-seizure meds intravenously, to try to get a good build-up in her system, so that when they start backing off on the meds keeping her unconscious, she hopefully won't just start seizing again. Right now, they plan on starting to very slowly back off of those meds sometime tomorrow.
A dear friend of mine overnighted some holy water to my niece, blessed by Fr. Houle, and we are asking for the intercessions of Fr. Houle, St. Claude de Columbiere and St. Margaret Mary Alaquoque.
