Would you please pray this afternoon for a newborn baby named Connor? His aunt is in our homeschool group and he was born last week with a major heart defect. 
He is undergoing heart surgery as I type. It was supposed to begin at 2pm (Central). Please pray for him, his family and the doctors and nurses who will be caring for this tiny baby.

Today's procedure was unsuccessful for Baby Connor. Please continue to pray as now he will have to undergo more extensive surgery.
Here is the message I received today from his aunt. Thanks for your prayers.
To keep everyone updated on baby Connor. Today the doctors put a tool though
his veins into his heart in hopes of opening up a valve that is locked
closed. This procedure was unsuccessful. It would have been a temporary fix,
as he has another valve within his heart that is also malformed. It was
hoped that he could have grown a little stronger before such major surgery.
Now being cut upon is the only option. I will let you all know on what day
they will be doing that so that you can all join together with us in our
prayers to God. My dear brother-in-law has been trying for a child for
nearly 15yrs. I pray that God has mercy on him and his beloved child.
Thank you for all your prayers already and beg of you to please keep
praying.

Oh, let's please also ask one of our newest souls in Heaven, little Betsy Bruton, to pray for baby Connor. No one who has heard her story could deny that she is a saint in the making!

I received a message from Connor's aunt today and she said he will be having major heart surgery to repair 2 malfunctioning valves today at 1pm. (He is still less than a week old.) He will also receive the sacrament of Baptism today. Connor's aunt has thanked every one for their prayers and asks everyone to please continue to pray, especially today.

Topic: Another positive update on Baby Connor!
