Oh, Dearest Mother, Sweetest Virgin of Altagracia, our Patroness. You are our Advocate and to you we recommend our needs. You are our Teacher and like disciples we come to learn from the example of your holy life. You are our Mother, and like children, we come to offer you all of the love of our hearts. Receive, dearest Mother, our offerings and listen attentively to our supplications. Amen.

Sometimes it's hard to respond to each and every prayer request. Sometimes I think I should respond to all, or that if I can't do that, I shouldn't respond to any.

I've just read through all the current requests, and wanted to say that I'm praying for each one of you, for our friends, our families, our fears and our needs.

Blessings to all of you,

Yes, I have been thinking the same thing. I often pray in the middle of the night when I'm up with the babies. I pray for those to whom I've responded, and for those to whom I haven't responded. I hope you will all know how often you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I had the same thought this morning as I read through the prayer requests. I offered Mass this morning for all the needs of everyone on this list.

It can just be overwhelming the crosses of so many on this list and those they love! I try to remember the prayers throughout the day and especially at Mass.

I call it "click and pray". I read all the requests, and pray...but I rarely have time to respond . Please consider each click a prayer!

Thanks for expressing my thoughts exactly MacBeth. My computer is just off my kitchen and I often check the prayer forum without even logging in - but do not often respond. I do have a little notepad by the computer and jot down the names of people to pray for - and put this on my prayer table so I remember. I feel so sad - so many grieving people over the last few weeks.

I'm just so grateful for the many members who find ways to pray for the requests here! Especially as this ministry grows, I like to remind myself that this is a shared ministry. This helps me to be more at peace with what I can do, instead of becoming discouraged by what I can't. Each of us serves in our own way, style, and time, making our collective prayers all the more rich, beautiful, and real.

We are so fortunate to be able to pray for each other and to be prayed for by each other. Thank you!

Love,

I keep you all in prayer too. I can't get on the board with any predictable frequency, but lift all the requests and needs posted as well as those kept in the silence of your hearts up to the Lord.

This is so true. Sometimes I don't have the words to express myself, but visit this board often to "click and pray".

It's just the OCD in me that makes me *have* to jump in now and then and say, "I'm praying for you all ... really I am, even if I haven't responded to every request...."

I love the "click and pray" point of view. Yes, I think we all do that. And prayers at night, up with kids, etc.

*And*, I also know how much it means to hear back from others, and to have those concrete responses that can mean so much.

Thanks to all of you who recently let me know you would pray for my friend, J. I'll keep you posted as I know more about her baby ....

In the meantime, we can all keep responding, and clicking, and praying, and offering ....

I read all the requests here and at the Five in a Row boards. I pray for each person but I just cannot make that many responses or I'd be on the computer all day.

I'm sure we all understand that we, who pray for others as part of our prayer-life, pray often for the requests here but just don't post a response sometimes. Sometimes we do...as we feel led.

Just letting you all know that I read all requests and pray for you all.

Blessings,
Alice R
