Hi,
I have had an ongoing medical issue, with severe pain in my right side, since 2001. I have had my gallbladder removed, and more tests and procedures than I care to count, all coming back mostly fine. However, they think they have finally found the source of my pain after all, and it seems I may have a hernia.
I will be going to a surgeon soon, and will probably need to have surgery either way in order to rule this out, however, my family doctor, who I trust, feels quite confident that this has actually been the problem all along. He was able to feel the lump in my side today. It is small, but, oh my, does it ever hurt.
I am happy to hopefully, finally have an answer to this, and even happier that it is something that can be fixed.
However, I am terrified of surgery, especially after having had a blood clot/DVT. I already struggle with panic disorder, and I am struggling now.
Could you please pray for me? For peace and calm? and for the doctors to find what they need? I would appreciate it very much.

I will pray.
And they can give you Clexane before and after syrgery, to help prevent blood clotting. This is what I have had for surgery after DVTs and with my blood clotting disorder.

Okay -- so here is the update from the surgeon this morning.
She is 95% sure it is NOT a hernia. That's good.
She thinks it is a angiolipoma (actually she was able to feel more than one. It is a benign, cyst-like tumor.) I will need surgery to have them removed  but it is a simpler, out-patient based surgery (and the recovery is much simpler than from a hernia op also.)
She said that there is a like 5% chance she could find a hernia once she gets in there, but she doubts it.
They are scheduling me within the next few weeks.
Please keep me in your prayers. I know it is a "simple" procedure -- but, well, still......
