On our way home from San Diego yesterday, our family was in an accident. We are all physically well, thank God. We were rear-ended by a large pick-up truck while we were slowing down for a Border Patrol check. The truck hit us at full speed and knocked us into another big pick-up truck in front of us and we slid under the bumper. It looks like our van has been totaled. Please pray that our minor aches and pains don't turn into anything else. We also lost a day (had to stay in Yuma overnight and drive two rental cars back today...no six-seater available.) We need to get our usual work done (which is quite a bit) as well as deal with the aftermath of this. Please pray for Dave who is dealing with the insurance companies and for the children who are shaken.
God is so good. We could feel His hand in our safety and care. Our Mother brought us great comfort, especially through praying the Memorare. The Border Patrol officers and the Highway Patrol were outstanding in their kindness and practical help. I was very proud of how our family handled this, especially the children who impressed all the authorities involved.
I'm sorry that my correspondence will be delayed. Know that I'm holding your intentions in my prayers. Thank you for praying for us.
