Hello,
I am posting this request on behalf of Chari. We spoke this morning and she gave me an update on Anne. Anne is on her way to Girls' State by way of Willa. (Willa, Chari expresses her deep appreciation once again for driving!) When Anne most recently spoke to her mom, she was physically feeling "terrible." (Willa, Chari said don't be surprised if you had no idea she was feeling poorly...she is very, very good at hiding it.)
She also is going to Girls' State unprepared...she was supposed to write a "Bill", but by no fault of her own, she did not receive the assignment until it was too late to adequately prepare. Anne really hates to be unprepared, and she even left her laptop behind! So this stress added to the physical is quite a lot to bear.
Anyway, I just love Anne...she is so dear,and I know that many of you all do too. It is very difficult to see her struggling through these big trials. Let us all continue to pray. I know it will be your joy to lift her up during these next challenging days at Girls State.

We are all praying still, especially dd and I, as I know how heartbreaking it is to see these lovely, purehearted girls have to go through such suffering. Reminds me so much of St. Therese, with whom I will interdede. May Anne be showered with roses.

Bumping this up -- so you can continue to pray for dear Anne.
Govnr Schwartzennegger spoke at Girls State yesterday  .
Anne did at least make a start on writing her bill while she was at my house, so she would have something to hand in there at least. But she didn't have enough time or research facilities to do the thorough job she would have liked to do under normal circumstances.
I hope she is doing well there! IT was sad to drop her off and we are looking forward to picking her up in a couple of days and bringing her back up to her family again.

We pick Anne up tomorrow and on Sunday bring her up to her home in N CA. Prayers for a safe and comfortable trip appreciated!

Just wanted to give an update that Anne DID survive Girls' State, and God even provided a familiar face...and old friend that she used to study dance with. She returned home today, catching a ride with Willa's family. (And I got to meet Willa..what a treat!) I'm looking forward to hearing more about the experience when I see Anne later this week.
Her body stills feels very poor, and she goes next week for treatment. I know you will all continue to pray. And hopefully Chari can chime in with better details. I saw her tonight at her 7th performance (3 of her dc are in the show) of The Sound of Music, with 4 more shows to go! Maybe there needs to be a separate post requesting prayer for Chari! Did I mention that the show gets over at 11PM??!
