You all probably remember my prayer requests for my little great-niece, Kenley, who was diagnosed with viril meningitis. Thanks be to God, she's all recovered from that. However, her family is now addressing a second issue, the fact that she simply isn't putting on weight. It turns out she has a hole in her heart, we will know more this weekend, including whether the doctors want to do surgury. Please keep my little niece, only 4 months old, in your prayers.
Secondly, my 16 yo niece is going in for surgery on Thursday. She had a non-malignant growth removed from inside her ear about a year ago, which left her deaf in that ear. They are now trying to rebuild her inner ear, somehow. It's tricky. Could I ask you to please include Karlee in your prayers, too?
Last but not least, (and I feel almost selfish asking for this one...) my 13 yo dd has turned really, REALLY difficult. She has never been bubbly, always very even keeled, but now she's become positively taciturn with us-and emotional and dramatic about everything. She doesn't seem to like anything right now, especially me! I know, I know, hormones. But it's a shock to my system. I somehow never expected my sweet little girl to become so, so...teenagerish! I hate that word, it has so much negative baggage (I prefer "adult in training"  )...but this is one very obstinant, sullen little sub-adult who is failing her "training"!  She is also wrestling with body image issues, I think, being quite concerned about her weight (which, for a very pretty 13 yo strikes me as ridiculous, and sends up all sorts of red flags). She is scheduled for a physical next week, with our simpatico, hs-supporting (and fellow parishoner) pediatrician, but in the meantime, please keep my dd (and frazzled, frustrated me!) in your prayers.

Kelly, prayers coming for all the girls. My niece had to have heart surgery at such a young age and it was very hard!
