Please pray for John, age 7, who will be receiving his 1st Holy Communion on Thursday, which in the old calendar is the feast of Corpus Christi, and is celebrated as such at our "parish".
Thanks. . .

Thanks for all the prayers!!
It was a WONDERFUL day! John was thrilled and the Mass was beautiful. I think God was so good to us that day because the temperatures were supposed to originally be in the upper 90's and then they said mid-90's--really bad news since the church is NOT air conditioned and ds was wearing a wool suit that came with a vest, and of course he wanted to wear that too. I spent DAYS worrying how we were going to get through a 2 hour High Mass and then an outdoor Procession. Furthermore, our new priest has some fan issues (fan Nazi )and can be very restrictive with their use AND he is known to give a 35 minute sermons in 90 degree weather (and no fans).
So, I asked St. Theresa (Little Flower) to just kind of ask God to go easy on us. The temperature never reached 90 (I think we were mid-80's or lower by the time Mass started), the wind blew like mad, the fans were on HIGH, Fr. gave a 5 minute sermon, the Mass was only an hour, clouds shaded us for the procession and a cool (yep, COOL) breeze blew. We were home by 9pm and even had time for ice cream!! God is so good. I couldn't believe it! You don't know how much I worried. Really. I thought ds (who is VERY sensitive to heat) and the other ones would melt as we've done before.
Most importantly, Jesus came to my little boy. What a nice day.
Thanks for you prayers, they helped so much.
