Please keep my daughter, Maria, in your prayers for the next 10 days or so, as she is leaving early in the morning on a bus heading to Spain for a pilgrimage leading to the Sacrament of Confirmation which she will receive in the Cathedral. The group will be walking about 20km a day for approx. 130km total. Our aux. Bishop is leading the group.
I am so happy and hopeful for Maria.

Today is Maria's Confirmation! She has chosen Saint Monica for her patroness??? (I am not sure how you express this)
Interestingly enough, this is not a common practice in Germany. Only among traditional Catholics do the confirmands choose Saints for their Confirmation. Even my dh, who was confirmed 40 yrs ago, never knew this practice.
Please say a prayer for Maria today. The Mass begins at 4pm European time, 10am EST.
Travel prayers for the Sanchez girls traveling today. May they be blessed by this pilgrimage.
