I have stayed the course in a tough marriage. It has been mostly rough, but I have grown through it and am currently numb, put on my happy face, and thank God for the blessings he has given me in my dear children. I have been through all the "stages" of grief sadness, hope, anger, etc. I am just living for my kids right now and trying to make it work. I feel I am married to Jesus, instead of my spouse, and he has taken care of us.
Yesterday dh told me he didn't like me or enjoy being married to me anymore. I wasn't surprised and my reaction was pretty non-existent--I have seen it coming. He now is stating he is going to move money around and wants all account numbers and passwords for accounts.
He is really angry (a few stages behind me ). He balks at counseling. I have done it by myself. He would not come in. He mentioned it yesterday and I told him I would welcome it and to tell me where to be when. I cannot set this up--I do it all wrong (wrong counselor, gosh-so expensive, etc.) and I have tried many times.
Ladies, can you please pray for a miracle that his eyes will be opened and he will realize what he might be giving up? That he gets the help he needs to enjoy the rest of his life (he had a really rough childhood) and that we can work on communication and he can be humble enough to look at himself with a discerning eye and try to improve himself. And please, so you don't think I am picking, I am FAR from perfect in that regard.

Praying for you, with grief. I hope you have been able to seek counsel before giving him access to all your money. Everything you have said is heartbreaking, but the money stuff is scary. That's one way some abusive men render their wives powerless -- by basically draining/cutting off family funds, so that the woman is penniless and dependent. That part of what you said really frightens me for you.
Again, I am praying for you with all my heart.
