Please pray for my wonderful mother-in-law, who is finally having knee replacement surgery Wednesday morning. She has been in pain for a very long time and we are hoping that everything will go well so that she can regain mobility and get more than a couple of hours' sleep at a time.

There are many details surrounding this surgery that are challenging - logistical things, mainly - and I would appreciate it very much if you would pray specifically that these issues can be resolved in the best possible way for her, in accordance with God's will. She has spent all the years I've known her (30+) caring for others, particularly her friends who needed help, and now she is the one who needs a lot of love and support. God has provided her with the opportunity to have the surgery done by the best orthopedist in her home town - without the months-long wait for an appointment with him - so we are already seeing God's hand in this.

I love my MIL dearly - in my three decades (!) of marriage to her beloved son, she has been a real inspiration to me in many, many ways - and I am so grateful for your prayers for her over the past few years, as well as the prayers you might have time to offer for her now.

Update 4/9:

The surgery went well. She is going to be in a lot of pain for a while, but that's to be expected. Please pray for her recovery. Thanks!

Praying for her good result and speedy recovery!

If it helps, the people I know who have had knee replacements all wished they had gotten them sooner! They were absolutely thrilled with the results after recovering from the surgery and all the physical therapy. My cousin even went in and had her other one done!
