The doctor called from the hospital last night to say that he had told my father he will be on a ventilator for the rest of his life, and that he expects his life to last under two weeks. I am not ready to lose him. Please pray for him, for my sister who lives with him and is carrying most of the load, and for me as I try to find a plane ticket we can afford and get there as soon as possible.

Update: I found a ticket on priceline that leaves this afternoon. My sister says he is significantly worse this morning. I have a confirmed seat from here to LA and a non-confirmed flight from LA to Phoenix. Would you please pray that I make it in time? I need to make it in time.

Update #2: I made it Sept 30. My father, a man who dedicated his life to making peace as a diplomat, died on the Feast of St. Francis. I am so sad, but also thankful. Please pray for the repose of his soul. Thanks so much my friends.
