I first saw this on Shower of Roses.
I learned today that this family once lived in San Diego and was active at a local parish. The accident happened while they were visiting family here and the funeral will be here this week.
Devastating. I can't imagine.....
We thank God every single day for His Mercy last summer when we experienced our near drowning. I have anxiety every day thinking about it (I may need a little extra help with this??). When thinking about this sweet little one, I am imagining that it was most likely the same life-flight, same emergency room......oh my....what a huge suffering this family is being asked to endure.
Jessica has set up a Go Fund Me account for this homeschooling family. Julianna was their fourth out of five children.
My heart breaks....

Truly heartbreaking. Praying hard for this family...
Heavenly Father, hear our prayers for Julianna's soul, for her devastated parents, for her sorrowing siblings, for all of those who love this child and her family. Show us all Your mercy, peace and love and help us to be Your hands and feet for Julianna's family now. Hands to reach out, to hug, to write, to wipe away tears, and feet to walk, to bear weight greater than any family can handle alone, to walk with this family as the cross of sorrow descends. Your Son, Our Lord, showed us how the Way of the Cross is made more bearable when family and friends are there. Help us to be like Simon, accepting our roles as Cross-bearers in support of Julianna's family. Send Your Spirit, the Consoler, to Julianna's family and friends during this terribly sad time, and open our hearts to Your call to comfort the sorrowing, now and always. We ask this in Jesus' Holy Name, as He taught us, confident that You will hear our heartfelt prayers. Amen.
