An 18 yo boy from our hs group was rushed to the hospital today with numbness on his left side and other neurological symptoms. A CT scan revealed a large brain tumor. He's scheduled for surgery tomorrow morning. He and my 17 yo ds are in the same Boy Scout troop and attended Philmont Scout Ranch together last summer. Please send up your prayers for him tonight and tomorrow. Our group is asking everyone to say a rosary between 7 and 9 tonight.

Update: There is good news this morning . It turns out that the large mass in the CT scan was not a tumor, but an abscess caused by an infection. Now I guess he'll have to be treated for the infection, so prayers are still needed for a good recovery, but at least it was not a tumor!

Praying for them. I saw his sister's post on Facebook yesterday. This family, whom we know from our time in the same group, has already experienced great suffering in recent years, and I can't imagine what his mother is feeling right now.

We will definitely pray a rosary.

Praying! Certainly an abscess instead of a tumor is a wonderful answered prayer! I know first hand about brain tumors and my heart sank when I first read that and then tears of joy with the update and I don't even know this family!
